A destination spot for the inhabitants of Kazan, the cleverly titled ‘Pyramid’ is the city’s go to entertainment centre. With everything from a concert hall to a bowling alley and a multi purpose gym, the Pyramid has anything a young Kazanite would need to pass the time.
The building is only 11 years old and it’s unusual architecture leaves it at odds with the surrounding architecture that’s centuries old. Some locals don’t like how it is beside the local Kremlin.
It’s certainly a different approach from the ‘bloc’ style buildings Russia erected in the 20th century and has to be applauded for its uniqueness.
